Day Two - More Truck Stops?
After a restful night in Amarillo, we headed out towards Longview, TX around 9:30am. It seems that so far one of our most frequent activities is stopping. Stopping to get a drink, stopping to go to the bathroom, stopping to eat, stopping for gas, stopping cause Jeb sees a Starbucks, etc. Luckily there are lots of truck stops and gas stations around here! We even stopped in Witchita Falls for lunch at a Wendy's...connected to a truck stop. We arrived in Longview around 8ish. When we tried to check in to our hotel we were VERY surprised to find that our reservations had been messed up(by the hotel)...after some discussion, we found ourselves at other Comfort Suites in Longview...which happened to be nicer and more convenient for getting back on the road in the morning. Nice how God works those things out for us.
By the time we got all settled in, it was a little late to go out for dinner...so we got to order pizza and hang out at the hotel! We are all safely tucked away in our rooms for the night (Jeb checked again!) and are getting rested up for our final day of travel and our trip to the Alexandria, LA zoo and arrival at UMCOR/Sager Brown tomorrow. We had a great day of travel and are excited to get to our destination. Until later --

Starbucks, hmmm, sounds like Sunday school! It's fun to see your pictures and hear how you're doing. The zoo is one of my personal favorites to visit anywhere we go... just don't fit in too well and don't lose anybody! Church was quiet this morning... -- love, the Neely parents
Sunday school was so lonely with so many of you gone on the trip! Sounds as if you’re having lots of fun.
I was quite surprised to see the driver you hired for the trip turned out to be so young! Must have barely passed the driving test (as I noticed she was pretty short too :O)
Wow! What fun you must be having. I can't wait to hear about your first day of work at Sager Brown tomorrow. Rev O gave out your blog address today in church so you may hear from lots of people.
